I have been told my whole life that I am a bit too much. Too driven, too loud, too much personality…I use to try to stuff myself into the box. To do what was expected. I found that during the hard times in life I felt lost. When Derin was diagnosed with a brain tumor shortly after we had been married I quickly learned why I felt loss in the face of troubling times. I was trying to “shrink” myself into something that I was not. When I needed to rely on my own brain and my own talents to pivot and move, “the box” had no answers for me. The box was where everyone thought the same. The box was not a place to find answers. Breaking out of that box has allowed me to embrace who I am. It helped me say “no” to doctors when they said we would not have kids. It helped me say “not today” when I was told my business would fail. It helped me find a group of like minded people that I love and interact with daily all around the world. It helped me become and embrace me. A successful Mom who works from home with the cutest 2 year old in the world, a loving wife, a business owner and a coach to help others find and embrace their authentic selves.
